AREX Express Train Seoul Incheon Airport

AREX is a good way to get to Seoul quickly: a commuter rail line operated by Airport Railroad Express (AREX). 

AREX TRAIN

There are two types of AREX trains: 

Express Train

It runs non-stop from INC Airport to Seoul Station.

The journey takes 45 minutes, counts with free Wi-Fi and passengers have assigned seat. 

All Stop Train

It stops through all 11 subway stations until it gets to Seoul Station.

Journey can take up to 1 hour as a maximum. Passengers doesn’t have assigned seat.

Stops include Gyeyang, Gimpo Int’l Airport, Digital Media City, Hongik University and GongDeok.

By this commuter rail, it is also possible to transfer to Gimpo International Airport, the secondary airport serving Seoul.

AREX SCHEDULES 

- Express Train: From 05:15 am until 10:48 pm.
- All Stop Train: From 05:18 am until 11:32 pm. 

Frequencies every 30 to 45 minutes for Express; and every 5 to 15 minutes for All-Stop.

Location

At Seoul Station, AREX stops are located at the second floor basement.

Trains depart from the Airport Station, in the Transportation Center.

Fares

See below the AREX fixed fares:

Express Train

- Adult ticket: 9,000 won.
- Children ticket: 7,000 won.

If you wish to purchase a one-way card, please take in mind there is an additional 100.00 won fare and a 500.00 won as a deposit, which can be refunded at the destination station.

All Stop Train

- Adult ticket: 4,150 won.
- Fare from Incheon Airport Terminal 2: 4,750 won.

Express Service

There are service stations in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Incheon Airport.

Payment by credit card and cash is accepted.

All Stop Train Service

Transportation Center on B1F of Incheon International Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, convenience stores within the airport and Tourist Information Center (close to Gates 5 and 10, located on 1F).

Payment only by cash.
